WordPress is our CMS of choice and is an excellent tool to rank your business’ website online. We wanted to answer a few questions for you, that will help you determine how to optimize your WordPress website.

WordPress is in fact search engine friendly, you will still need to do some manual SEO work for the best results. By just switching your website to WordPress, you won’t rank your website on the top spots in Google.

You can certainly build a great site but you also need to weave in some SEO elements into it, and here’s how.

How to SEO Optimize Your Website:

A good first step is to setup an SEO plugin. We recommend All in One SEO or WordPress SEO by Yoast. These two plugins will allow you to manage the title, descriptions and keywords for each individual page on the site.

It is important to do some keywords research and not to repeat your keywords too often. Normally what we do at Pearl White Media is that we send our clients a questionnaire mid way through the project, and from there get a better idea of what key phrases they are looking to optimize.

After doing on-site optimization, it is also recommended to do website back-linkings.
